Editorial Standards & Methodology

How we ensure quality, accuracy, and authenticity in everything we publish on Jyotir AI

Our Commitment to Quality

At Jyotir AI, we take content quality seriously. While this is a solo passion project, I've established clear standards and processes to ensure that every piece of content — whether AI predictions, blog articles, or educational guides — meets high standards for accuracy, authenticity, and usefulness.

This page documents our editorial methodology, fact-checking processes, and commitment to transparency. If you find errors or have concerns about our content, please contact us immediately.

Core Editorial Principles

Authenticity First

Every astrological interpretation must be grounded in Vedic principles and computed chart data. No invented or fabricated astrological principles. AI predictions are based on Swiss Ephemeris calculations and Logic Engine analysis; blog articles cite classical texts with chapter and verse references.

Transparency Always

We show our sources, explain our reasoning, and make it easy for readers to verify claims themselves. No mysticism, no hidden methodologies, no black boxes.

Education Over Selling

Content prioritizes helping readers learn and understand Vedic astrology, not just converting them to paid features. Educational value comes before commercial goals.

Honest About Limitations

We clearly state what Vedic astrology can and cannot do. No medical claims, no financial guarantees, no guaranteed predictions. All content includes appropriate disclaimers.

How Different Content Types Are Created

1. AI Predictions & Interpretations

When users ask questions or request birth chart analysis, our AI system generates predictions following strict guidelines:

Step 1: Astronomical Calculation

Birth chart calculations use Swiss Ephemeris — the gold-standard astronomical library developed by Astrodienst AG and used by NASA. This ensures:

  • Planetary positions accurate to fractions of an arc-second
  • Historical accuracy from 5401 BCE to 5399 CE
  • All major celestial bodies (Sun, Moon, planets, Rahu/Ketu)
  • Precise house calculations using Whole Sign system (default for Vedic)

Step 2: Logic Engine Analysis

Our Logic Engine automatically extracts key astrological features from your computed chart, based on principles from classical Vedic texts:

  • Yogas (planetary combinations like Gajakesari, Budhaditya, etc.)
  • Doshas (afflictions like Mangal Dosha, Kaal Sarp, etc.)
  • Vimshottari Dasha and Antardasha periods with lordship analysis
  • Planetary aspects (Graha Drishti) between all planets
  • House lordships and their placements across all 12 houses

Quality Control: The Logic Engine has been tested extensively (97% pass rate across all modules) to ensure accurate chart feature extraction.

Step 3: AI Generation with Safeguards

The AI generates interpretations based on computed chart data with anti-hallucination safeguards:

  • Grounded generation: AI instructed to base analysis on computed chart data from the Logic Engine, not generic statements
  • Chart data transparency: Every claim is based on visible planetary positions, yogas, doshas, and dasha periods
  • Honest limitations: If chart data doesn't support a specific question, AI acknowledges this rather than guessing
  • No fabrication: AI cannot invent astrological principles or make claims unsupported by chart data

2. Blog Articles & Educational Guides

All blog content follows a rigorous research and review process:

1Research & Topic Selection

Topics are chosen based on user questions, gaps in available content, and educational value. I research each topic using classical Vedic texts, reputable astrology books, and scholarly sources.

2Writing Process

All articles are written or heavily edited by me (Kartik Jangid). While I may use AI tools to assist with drafting or research, final content is always human-authored and fact-checked. No purely AI-generated content is published.

3Fact-Checking

Astrological claims are verified against at least 2-3 classical texts. Technical information (astronomical data, calculations) is cross-checked with reputable sources like Swiss Ephemeris documentation and academic papers.

4Source Citation

When referencing classical texts, we include chapter and verse numbers. When referencing modern sources, we link to original publications or cite author and title.

5Final Review

Before publication, I review for clarity, accuracy, appropriate disclaimers, and readability. All content must meet our quality standards before going live.

What We Don't Do

To maintain trust and quality, Jyotir AI explicitly does NOT:

  • Publish AI-generated content without human review and editing
  • Make medical diagnoses or health claims
  • Provide financial investment advice or guarantees
  • Make absolute predictions about death, marriage dates, or lottery numbers
  • Plagiarize or copy content from other astrology websites
  • Use clickbait titles or misleading headlines
  • Keyword-stuff or write content solely for SEO purposes
  • Sell or share user data with third parties for marketing
